Lights Out

Puzzle Browser game 7 plays

Tap a light and it flips — along with all four of its neighbours. Turn the whole grid off.

Tap a light and it switches. So do the four lights touching it, above, below, left and right. Your job is to turn the entire grid off.

That one rule is the whole game, and it is stranger than it sounds. You cannot change a single light on its own — every tap affects five cells at once, so fixing one corner lights up its neighbours. Progress does not look like progress until it suddenly does.

WHAT'S INSIDE
— One rule, learned in a single tap, with no tutorial to sit through
— Tapping the same cell twice undoes it, so nothing is ever permanently wrong
— Order does not matter: the same set of taps gives the same board in any sequence
— Clean, readable grid that scales to any screen size
— No download, no account, no waiting — press Play and the first tap is yours

The trap is thinking of it as a tidying job. Players start clearing lights one at a time, watch the mess move around the board, and eventually realise they are not meant to be clearing lights — they are meant to be choosing which set of cells to tap. Once that lands, the game changes completely.
